ITINERARY
DAY 01 – ARRIVE AT NEPALGUNJ
After completing your puja at the temple of the Lord Pashupatinath and Budhanilakantha, you need to board a flight for Nepalgunj. Before that, it’s better that you complete your lunch as you may not get enough option on the way. No sooner you arrive Nepalgunj, you will be welcomed by one of our representative or the guide. Then they will take you to the hotel where you can rest and spend your night.
DAY 02 – A FLIGHT FOR SIMIKOT
The next day you need to wake up early morning so that you can be transferred to the airport for the flight to Simikot. Then after completing all the legal immigration formalities, you need to proceed to the lodge which is at Simikot. Again at this lodge, you will have to take your dinner and then go for sleep.
DAY 03 – FLY TO HILSA AND THEN DRIVE TO TAKLAKOT
After waking up with full energy, you need to walk down to the airport in order to get the chartered Helicopter flight to Hilsa. The duration of the flight to this place is just fifteen minutes. Henceforth, you need to cross the bridge to Sera, where the coaches will be waiting for you. Then the Chinese guide and the driver will introduce you about the rest of the tour. After which you will have to drive to Taklakot that is at thirty five hundred meter and is known by the name of Purang. You will have to drive nearly an hour to reach Taklakot and then you need to check in a hotel. Moreover, you will get a full day to relax to gain all your energy.
DAY 04 – DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR
On this day, you will have to drive to Mansarovar along with your guide, which will nearly take two hours. After reaching there you can perform puja, hawan and then devtarpan which are followed by the Mansarovar Parikrama. Then you need to spend your night at the guesthouse nearby.
DAY 05 – A SMOOTH DRIVE TO DARCHEN
The next day, you will need to have a holy bath and then Puja at the Lake Mansarovar. At that place, you can visit Chiu Gompa and then you need to drive again to Darchen which is at an altitude of four thousand six hundred and seventy-five. The drive will take about one hour as it is at a distance of thirty kilometer from Mansarovar. You need to spend your night at the guesthouse in Darchen.
DAY 06 – TREK TO DIRAPUK
Carry a fully packed lunch box and then drive to Tarboch Flag pole, which is nothing but the first prostration point. There you can find an auspicious gateway and also the sky burial ground. There after just visit Yamadwar and then drive to Sershong so that you can trek to Dirapuk.
DAY 07 – DRIVE BACK TO TAKLAKOT
The last day of the Mount Kailash Parikrama will just end near to Darchen. From there you will have to drive back to Taklakot. After arriving Taklakot you will have to check in to a hotel.
DAY 08 – FLY BACK TO YOUR DESTINATION
This will be the last day of your tour, for which you will have to drive to Hilsa and then take helicopter till Simikot. After that, you just proceed to Nepalgunj where you will get a connecting flight for Kathmandu.
