ITINERARY

DAY 01

Arrival in India at Bagdogra Airport, Transfer to Darjeeling

On your arrival in India, you will be welcomed at the Bagdogra airport, which is the nearest airport to Darjeeling. One of our representatives or the tour guide will meet you at the airport and then they will transfer you to the hotel. The distance to Darjeeling is just 3 to 4-hour of the journey. While on the journey you can see the Assam tea plantation and some of the tiny villages. You will be astonished to see that Darjeeling faces the Himalayas and it’s the only reason why it is a popular destination for the Westerners and the Nepali culture. In the evening you are free to explore the streets of Darjeeling.

DAY 02

Explore the Culture of Darjeeling

After completion of your breakfast, you will have to leave your hotel for the tour which includes the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute Everest Museum. There are some other places too, which you can visit like the Himalayan Zoological Park, the Tibetan refugees Darjeeling and the happy valley tea Garden where you can enjoy the tea tasting. In the evening, you are will be left free at the hotel so you can enjoy and rest for the night.

DAY 03

Trek to Tumling

On this day you need to have an early breakfast, as the driver along with the guide will come to pick you up at sharp 9:00 am. After which will have to drive to Maney Bhanjang, as it will be the starting point of the trek at an altitude of two thousand one hundred and thirty-four meters. This village is also known as the village of tribe people that are between the India and Nepal border. This is the only place where tourists need to enter their passport along with the India visa. You will have to trek for almost 11 km from Manay Bhanjang in order to reach Tumling Ridge.

DAY 04

Trek frtgom Tumling to Sandakphu via Kalapokhari

You will have to wake up early so that you can enjoy the sunrise view from the Tumling Top. If the weather remains in your favour then you can enjoy the fabulous view of both the Singalila and Cho la range of Mount Kanchenjunga. After this, you will have to return to Tumling so that you can have your breakfast. Henceforth, you will have to trek to Sandakphu via Kalapokhri.

DAY 05

Sandakphu to Phalut

You will be very amazed to see the morning sunrise call; you can see the pink, red and finally the golden glow of the sunlight. The sun moves from east to west across the face of the Himalayas. You can resume your trekking of Phalut from Sandakphu. You will be amazed to know that it is one of the loftiest peaks in the Singalila Range. Moreover, the burned silver fir forest makes it a beautiful sight. You will have to spend your night in a hut as there is no other alternative. This is a remote area.

DAY 06

Trek from Phalut to Gorkhey

You cannot deny the fact that Phalut is one of the most beautiful places on the entire trek. The moment you will step down from the hut you will find that the valley which is below us is half-filled with the clouds. You can feel that on the trek, you are waving goodbye to the scenic beauty of Kanchenjunga and the eastern Himalayas. Moreover, you can also walk through the rich forest of Magnolias and Rhododendrons which has great birdlife. Finally, after crossing all this you will reach a village which is known as Gorkhey and you can enjoy eco-tourism at this place.

DAY 07

Trek to Timburey from Gorkhey

Only, after completion of your breakfast, you need to trek via Samandin to the Ramam. In about 5 hours of the trek, the trail reaches the meeting of the two streams which is called the Gorkhey Khola. This place is also known as the picture postcard. Thereafter, you will have to resume trekking to Ramam via Samandin. You will need to spend your night at the family home stay at Timburey.

DAY 08

Trek to Rimbick frtom Timburey

After your breakfast, you will have to leave for the trek from Timbirey to the Rimbick through the Srikhola village. The good thing about this journey is that it is almost a level walk for the first 9 km till you reach Rimbick. Moreover, after completing your lunch at Rimbick you will have to meet the vehicles and then drive for four hours till you reach Darjeeling. Spend your night at the hotel.

DAY 09

Last Day of the Tour, Farewell

This is the last day of the tour and so you will be escorted to either Bhadrapur Airport that is in Nepal or the Bagdogra Airport it will be based on your comfortability you will be taken to the nearest airport. After which you need to board a flight to your nearest destination.
