Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour in Nepal entails the visit to various Buddhist religious sites rejuvenating the spiritual and religious aspirations of Buddhism. Buddhism’s history goes back to 536 when Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini. Since then, Nepal has been a sacred place for meditation and spiritual exercise by various Buddhist monks and spiritual leaders.
Our tour starts from the city of Kathmandu where we will visit two of the biggest stupas Boudhanath and Swayambhunath (Monkey temple). We will experience The Buddhist chants and other structures enrolled in prayer flags and prayer wheels. We also visit the Pharping monastery where Padmasambhava meditated, Kapan and Namobuddha (It is believed that Buddha Semche Chenpo offered himself to feed the hungry tiger cubs in Namobuddha). From Kathmandu, we head to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini. There are various ancient remainings including Ashoka Pillar, Maye Devi Temple, bathing pond etc.

Arrival in Kathmandu |
| The tourists are received and greeted by the tour operator’s professional guide on arrival at Kathmandu International airport & transferred to a prearranged cosy hotel. They are welcomed at the hotel with traditional tika and a welcome drink. After the check-in and settling down the tourists are briefed about the tour programme and allowed to spend the rest of the day on their own acquainting with the place, people, market and others before retiring for a good night’s sleep. | |
DAY 02 |
Buddhist Sites Tour Around Kathmandu |
| You are picked up from the hotel and driven to the tour destination after breakfast. The attraction of the day – Full day guided sightseeing around Kathmandu city- Historical Durbar Square area, Boudhanath Stupa & Swyambhunath Stupa, which is one of the most popular attractions in Kathmandu. Lunch break will be provided during the tour at the best restaurants available. | |
DAY 03 |
Kathmandu – NamoBuddha via Dhulikhel |

We drive to our destination from the hotel to continue with our schedule. Attractions of the day – Full-day guided sightseeing around Namo Buddha. It is one of the most sacred places for Buddhist religions and a beautiful cultural tour via Dhulikhel. Lunch break will be provided at Namo Buddha monastery restaurant or the best restaurant available during the tour. We drive back to the resort for an overnight stay. |

DAY 04 |
Dhulikhel-Kathmandu-Lumbini |
| As soon as we finish our breakfast, we drive to the domestic airport and fly to Lumbini (the birthplace of Lord Buddha). We transfer to the hotel upon arrival, and freshen up and rest for the remaining hours. | |
DAY 05 |
Lumbini Buddhist Tour |
| We pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the tour destination. Attractions of the day – Full-day guided sightseeing around Lumbini and visit the most popular Peace Pagoda, Lumbini Garden, Maya Devi Temple, Tara Foundation, World China Temple, Thai Monastery, Burmese (Myanmar) Temple, Nepal Buddha Temple and Dharmaswami Buddhist monastery. | |
DAY 06 |
Lumbini to Kathmandu |
| As soon as we finish our breakfast at the hotel in Lumbini, we drive to our tour destination. Attractions of the day – Half-day guided sightseeing, visit the rest of the popular shrines of Lumbini and transfer to the airport. We fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel again in Kathmandu; freshen up, rest and stay overnight. | |
DAY 07 |
Kathmandu Sightseeing |
| We drive to the tour destination after breakfast. Attraction of the day – Full day guided sightseeing around ancient Patan & Bhaktapur city, historical Durbar Square area including many other famous monuments nearby including Krishna Temple, Golden Temple, Kumbheswor Temple and Bhaktapur city’s old place popular Nyatapola Pagoda as well as unique peacock windows and medieval town. A lunch break will be provided during the tour at the best available restaurant. | |
DAY 08 |
Departure |
| Tourists are driven to the Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu after breakfast for availing their onward flight to their destination. The tourists leave with fond reminiscences of Nepal, its scenic beauty, culture, ethnic diversity, hospitality and warm behaviour of its inhabitants. | |
